Mount Hutt Ski Area is one of New Zealand's most popular ski areas with its close proximity to Christchurch, over 680m (2240ft) of vertical and annual average snowfall of 4m (13ft). Abisko Lodge is a small modern campground close to the heart of Methven village. The well maintained facilities make for a comfortable stay and include a large heated living room with TV, modern internet lounge with card readers, skype and webcams, reliable highspeed WiFi throughout the entire campground. Campers also have access to the spa and sauna located at the lodge for a smll additional fee. Abisko Lodge & Campground is a member of the Holiday Accommodation Parks Association of New Zealand.
