  • New Zealand delivers a world– class visitor experience

  • The tourism sector takes a leading role in protecting and enhancing the environment
  • The tourism sector and communities work together for mutual benefit

Key Values for the Holiday Park Sector

Kaitiakitanga.
Means guardianship, care and protection. It provides a basis for our approach to sustainably managing our natural, cultural, and built environment for current and future generations

Manaakitanga.
Implies a reciprocal responsibility upon a host, and an invitation to a visitor to experience the very best we have to offer. Applying these values throughout the Strategy reflects our intention to move forward together, based on a shared and uniquely New Zealand approach

Our Vision:

In 2015 New Zealand is home to a sustainable and growing holiday park sector

Sustainable development means meeting the needs of the present without compromising the ability of future generations to meet their own needs. We will work with our members to ensure that our sector is sustainable in the following areas

  • That we minimise holiday parks impact on the environment and add value wherever possible.
  • That holiday parks business model is sustainable including staffing, profitability and product.
  • That holiday parks are socially sustainable contributing to local communities.
  • That a work life balance is preserved as an underpinning principle of sustainability.

Our Mission: Adding value to our members businesses
